The Knit Ombre Toque

This is a tight-knit chunky toque worked with 2 strands of yarn held together. Working the 2 strands on smaller needles makes this toque slightly stiffer, helps it hold its shape, makes it quick to knit and makes it extra warm!

I’ve included the number of skeins and the weight of yarn used in each size. This pattern holds 2 strands of yarn together so you may prefer to buy 2 skeins of each colour for convenience but you really just need one to make this pattern. If you choose to only buy one of each colour you will need to split the ball in 2 so that you have 2 ends to hold together.

Hi, I’m Mareena

I’m a homebody and a serial hobby acquirer who really only leaves her house for golf. I knit, crochet, sew, and embroider, all from my living room in Toronto, Canada. By day I lead software teams. By night I design knit and crochet patterns, get lost in a fantasy novel, or plan the next golf trip. This is where I share what I make.
